Recipes For 3 Of The Yummiest Dog Biscuits

September 07, 2022 2 min read

This week I had some spare time and made my pooch's favourite treats for him. I've been baking pupcakes for my guy since he was a baby and there have been a few hits and a lot of misses. These recipes are the ones he absolutely loves! And when he's been a super good boy, I even let him lip the bowl... and the spoon.

Mint & Parsley Fresh Breath Cookies

  • 2 1/2 Cups of Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Chopped Parsley
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Chopped Mint
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/3 Cup of Water
  • 3 Tablespoons coconut oil (unrefined extra-virgin is best)
  • 4 mls Hey Hudson Pure Hemp Seed Oil

Add oats to a blender and pulse to a flour like consistency. In a large bowl whisk together parsley, mint, egg, water, and oils. Add oat flour and stir to combine. Knead dough a few times then turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll out and cut into shapes with a cookie cutter. Place on a lined baking tray and bake at 160° for 35-40 minutes, or until crisp and golden. Store in an air-tight container.

Oat & Bacon Balls

  • ½ Cup Mashed Pumpkin
  • ½ Cup Apple Puree
  • ¼ Cup Peanut Butter
  • ¼ Cup Greek Yogurt
  • 2½ Cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 Rasher of Bacon
  • 4 mls of Hey Hudson Pure Hempseed Oil

Cook bacon. Boil then finely mash pumpkin, and set aside to cool. In a large bowl mix together pumpkin, apple puree, peanut butter and yogurt. Finely chop or crumble bacon and add to mixture then mix in the rolled oats. When thoroughly mixed roll into small balls. Store in refrigerator or freeze for later use.
